President Sisi attends celebration for 74th anniversary of Egyptian Police Day

CAIRO – 24 January 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will attend the celebration marking the 74th anniversary of Egyptian Police Day.

Egyptian Police Day is a significant national anniversary commemorating the Battle of Ismailia in 1952, during which police officers demonstrated remarkable courage in confronting British occupation forces, setting a lasting example of sacrifice and dedication in defense of national dignity and sovereignty. The occasion has since come to symbolize bravery, loyalty, and patriotism.

Each year, the state marks this anniversary in recognition of the sacrifices made by police officers and their vital national role in protecting state resources, addressing various challenges, and continuing their efforts to safeguard citizens and ensure societal stability.
