CAIRO – 22 January 2026: The Zakat and Charity House, operating under the supervision of His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, announced the completion of its largest camp for displaced Palestinians near the Netzarim area in the Gaza Strip.

The camp is intended to provide shelter for families who lost their homes as a result of the Israeli offensive.

The Zakat and Charity House stated that it has successfully delivered 13 urgent humanitarian aid convoys to the Gaza Strip.

These convoys included more than 25,000 tons of food supplies, clean drinking water, medical aid, and clothing, in addition to over 16,000 fully equipped tents to accommodate families displaced after their homes were destroyed during the Israeli occupation forces’ offensive, which began on October 7, 2023.
