In response to the extremely cold weather conditions endured by Gaza’s population, the Egyptian Red Crescent continues to dispatch additional essential winter supplies to the strip. These include more than 26,720 pieces of winter clothing, over 36,740 blankets, 240 mattresses, and approximately 1,040 tents to shelter those affected, as part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the people of Gaza.
It is worth noting that the “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza” convoys, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, transported thousands of tons of aid, including food supplies, flour, infant formula, medical equipment, medicines, personal care items and fuel.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been operating as the national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the crisis in October 2023.
During this period, the Rafah land port was never permanently closed. The organization remains on full alert across all logistical centers, supported by the continuous efforts of 35,000 volunteers to facilitate the entry of aid.
