CAIRO – 11 January 2026: Egypt will see generally stable weather on Sunday, with no extreme conditions expected. However, parts of the country are likely to experience rain and strong winds over the next two days.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecast varying rainfall in parts of the North Coast, home to Alexandria, as well as several Nile Delta areas.

Strong winds ranging between 30 and 50 km/h are expected nationwide, which could disrupt maritime navigation in the Mediterranean.

The authority also warned of fog forming between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. from Wednesday through Friday, particularly on roads leading to and from northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.

As for temperatures, highs in Greater Cairo as well as the North Coast are expected to remain stable at 18-19°C through Friday, while lows will range between 10-11°C.

In northern Upper Egypt, including Beni Suef and Fayoum, daytime temperatures may be slightly higher than in Cairo, while nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to 5-7°C.

Southern Upper Egypt will see warmer conditions, with daytime highs reaching 24°C, while nighttime temperatures are forecast to range between 9-10°C.
