Rain Expected in Several Regions Across Egypt on Friday

CAIRO – 9 January 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority confirmed Friday that satellite imagery and weather maps indicate a chance of rain of varying intensity across the northern coast, the Nile Delta, and North Sinai throughout the day.

The authority warned of strong winds in parts of the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, southern Egypt, and Sinai. Wind speeds are expected to range from 40 to 60 kph, potentially stirring up sand and dust in some areas and disrupting maritime navigation along the Mediterranean and Red Sea coasts.

Forecasters predict that Friday will see a period of unstable weather characterized by high winds, rain, and a noticeable drop in temperatures.
