Egypt’s First Lady extends New Year's greetings

CAIRO – 1 January 2026: Egypt’s First Lady Entissar El Sisi extended her best wishes to the Egyptian in the new year.

“As a new year begins, I ask Allah the Almighty that it brings us and our beloved Egypt days filled with hope and serenity. May it be a year abundant with goodness, hard work, and success for every Egyptian family. I extend my greetings for a happy New Year to you all, wishing you prosperity,” said the First Lady.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has extended New Year greetings to the Egyptian people and peoples around the world, expressing hope that 2026 would see an end to wars and crises and that peace and stability would prevail.

“On the occasion of the new year 2026, I convey my heartfelt greetings to the great people of Egypt and to the nations of the world,” El-Sisi wrote in a New Year message late on Wednesday.

“I ask Allah the Almighty for this year to bring all goodness and prosperity, for peace and stability to prevail, for wars and crises to end, and for the values ​​of cooperation, integration, and peaceful coexistence to flourish for a better future for all humanity.”

“I wish you all a happy New Year and wish Egypt well.”
