A high-ranking security source at the Ministry of Interior stated in exclusive statements to the Middle East News Agency that security presence had been intensified around the polling stations and election offices, as well as on the main roads and routes leading to them.

The source also pointed out that the heads of security and the supervisory leadership levels had conducted field inspections of the forces participating in the election security plan to ensure their readiness to carry out their assigned tasks with accuracy and discipline.

They stressed the importance of treating citizens well during the implementation of the plan's phases, especially with respect to the elderly and people with disabilities, and providing all necessary assistance to help them, in accordance with the directives of Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, the Minister of the Interior.

The National Election Authority had announced the start of voting in the 19 canceled constituencies of the first stage of the House of Representatives elections abroad on December 24 and 25. The results of the run-off in the 19 constituencies will be announced on January 4, 2025.
