CAIRO – 25 December 2025: National Media Authority (NMA) head Ahmed El-Muslimani said on Thursday that the authority will maintain its ban on hosting fortune-tellers and astrologers across all NMA radio and television channels, as well as on its website and Radio and Television magazine.

El-Muslimani called for addressing regional and global developments through scientific thinking, logic and the tools of political science and other academic disciplines, urging greater reliance on scientists, researchers and intellectuals.

He also urged media outlets to refrain from promoting the claims of astrologers and charlatans, regardless of their popularity, warning that such content undermines reason, trivializes knowledge and creates false fame based on random and unfounded predictions.

El-Muslimani stressed the media’s responsibility to confront ignorance, elevate science and promote rational thinking.
