Egypt offers condolences to Morocco over victims of Safi floods

CAIRO – 15 December 2025: Egypt expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Kingdom of Morocco, its leadership, government, and people over the victims of the floods that struck the city of Safi, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

Egypt affirms its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco during this difficult time and extends its wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, expressing confidence in the ability of the Moroccan authorities and people to overcome this ordeal.

The Moroccan Ministry of Interior announced that the death toll from the exceptional thunderstorms that struck the region on Sunday evening, and the resulting strong and sudden flash floods, has risen to thirty-seven (37), according to data from local authorities in the region.
