CAIRO – 4 December 2025: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit affirmed that the Egypt International Defense and Military Industries Exhibition (EDEX 2025) embodies the strength of Egypt and the wider Arab world.
He stated that the exhibition demonstrates the Arab nations' collective interest in developing their military industries and enhancing the capabilities of their armed forces. He noted that the progress he witnessed within the various pavilions signifies genuine advancement in Arab defense manufacturing.
During his tour, Aboul Gheit explained that the products and weapons systems on display indicate a growing capacity to equip Arab armies with modern defense equipment.
He suggested that this development underscores the Arab world's determination to acquire the necessary tools of power and boost the readiness of its armed forces to remain capable and effective.
The Secretary-General added that the level of organization and technical content is a source of pride, representing a strong impetus toward localizing defense technology in the region.
He pointed out that the great diversity of exhibits confirms the Arab industry is on the right track and reassures him of its ability to compete and meet regional national security needs.
