CAIRO – 2 December 2025: The National Unified List for Egypt issued a joint statement on Tuesday defending the integrity of the ongoing parliamentary elections and affirming that the entire process was supervised by judicial bodies and adheres to clear legal guarantees.
The parties acknowledged that, like elections globally, the process may include “some limited errors or violations.” However, there was a swift institutional response to such incidents—including the decision to repeat elections in certain constituencies based on rulings from the National Elections Authority or the judiciary—as proof of the procedures' impartiality and the state’s willingness to correct course as required by law.
The statement expressed the parties' “categorical rejection” of what they described as organized defamation campaigns and attempts to sow “morale chaos” by entities that have lost political influence or seek narrow personal gains. While the parties affirmed that objective criticism is a right guaranteed to all, they cautioned against sensationalizing issues or negatively influencing public opinion.
The coalition renewed its full commitment to completing the electoral mandate according to the National Elections Authority's schedule.
The parties called on all political forces to engage in honorable competition, respect the ballot boxes, and accept the judiciary as the final arbiter. They stressed that the law and the judiciary are the guarantors of integrity, and that genuine popular participation is the cornerstone of democracy. Furthermore, they declared that national unity must stand above all partisan calculations and personal interests.
Representatives from the participating parties agreed on the importance of adopting policies and procedures to raise the level of political awareness and participation across the board in the future.
The statement concluded by expressing confidence that Egypt, with its people and institutions, is steadily progressing under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, whose path is protected by the strength of the people's consciousness, the rootedness of the institutions, and their permanent capacity for self-correction.
