Lieutenant General Abdel-Magid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with several defense chiefs and ministers participating in EDEX 2025
CAIRO – 1 December 2025: On the sidelines of the first day of the 4th International Defense Industries Exhibition (EDEX 2025), held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, Lieutenant General Abdel-Magid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with several defense chiefs and ministers participating in the event.
He held talks with Claude Rameaux Bireau, Minister of National Defense of the Central African Republic; Suren Papikyan, Minister of Defense of Armenia; and Sadio Camara, Minister of National Defense and Veterans Affairs of Mali. The meetings addressed the latest regional and international developments and discussed issues of mutual interest, particularly within the framework of military cooperation and the transfer and exchange of expertise.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, also held a series of meetings with senior military officials. He met with Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Saif Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Lieutenant General Mohamed Al Ghoul, Chief of Staff of the Tunisian Army; and Major General Engineer Salah Masoud Al Azmi, Assistant Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army for Logistics and Supply. The discussions focused on strengthening military cooperation in various defense fields and exchanging views on issues of shared concern.
Several senior Armed Forces commanders and members of the military delegations accompanying the Ministers of Defense and Chiefs of Staff attended the meetings.
