CAIRO – 30 November 2025: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) disptached its 83rd “Zad Al-Izza.. From Egypt to Gaza” convoy early Sunday, carrying a number of trucks of urgent humanitarian aid towards the Gaza Strip, as part of its ongoing efforts as the national mechanism for coordinating the delivery of aid to Gaza.

The convoy carried approximately 10,500 tons of urgent humanitarian aid, which included more than 5,500 tons of food baskets and flour, over 2,800 tons of essential medical and relief supplies needed by the sector, and more than 1,270 tons of petroleum products, said the ERC in a statement.

The convoy also comprised basic winter necessities to alleviate the suffering of the people, which included about 32,000 blankets, about 91,400 pieces of winter clothing, more than 1,150 mattresses, and more than 11,900 tents to shelter those affected.

Since the onset of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has played a pivotal role as the main coordinating body for aid delivery to Gaza. Despite the challenges, the Rafah border crossing on the Egyptian side has remained partially open, enabling the continuous flow of humanitarian assistance.

The organization has maintained full logistical readiness across all its centers, ensuring the steady delivery of aid. To date, more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid have been sent, made possible by the dedication of over 35,000 Egyptian Red Crescent volunteers.
