CAIRO - 29 November 2025: Egypt joined the international community in commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, reaffirming that this occasion is not merely an annual observance, but a milestone for upholding the values of justice and renewing the international moral and political commitment to the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights.

In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry, Egypt emphasized that the Palestinian right to self-determination and to the establishment of an independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is not simply a political demand but a historical entitlement supported by international law and affirmed by the conscience of humanity.

Coinciding with this solemn anniversary, Egypt underscored the necessity of consolidating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the free and unconditional flow of humanitarian aid, in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2803 and the international consensus expressed at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.

These steps lay the foundation for launching a comprehensive political process capable of restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the statement said.

In this context, Egypt continues its close coordination with the United States and regional partners to ensure the full implementation of agreed-upon peace efforts and to advance their associated mechanisms in a manner that safeguards Palestinian rights and strengthens regional stability.

Egypt also reaffirmed its ongoing efforts, in cooperation with regional and international partners, to support all measures that alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and create the conditions necessary for restoring calm, stability, and a credible political horizon that addresses the root causes of the conflict.

Egypt stressed the central role of the Palestinian Authority and the unity of the Palestinian territories as indispensable foundations for any sustainable and just settlement.
