Ministry of Interior: Comprehensive security plan for Phase 2 of House Elections

CAIRO – 21 November 2025: All security sectors have finalized a comprehensive security plan for the second phase, in accordance with the directives of Interior Minister Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, to ensure that the electoral process proceeds smoothly and with full safety.

The plan provides for securing polling stations from the outside through an intensive security presence around the sites and along all roads and routes leading to them, in coordination with the relevant authorities, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It also includes sanitizing the areas surrounding the polling centers and conducting a full security sweep roughly 48 hours before voting begins. Security directors and commanders will closely monitor all procedures to ensure force readiness and the accurate, disciplined execution of assigned tasks.
