CAIRO – 21 November 2025: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly arrived at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, to head Egypt’s delegation participating in the 2025 Group of Twenty (G20) Summit.

Madbouly is attending the high-profile global event on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The G20 Summit is scheduled to take place over two days, November 22 and 23, with Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, accompanying the Prime Minister.

Upon arrival, Mostafa Madbouly and his delegation were received by Nkosi Mzamo Buthelezi, South Africa's Minister of Public Service and Administration, and Ambassador Ahmed Ali Sherif, Egypt's Ambassador to South Africa.

The Prime Minister’s comprehensive agenda includes attending the opening session of the G20 Summit, which is being hosted by South Africa. He is also set to participate in several specialized sub-sessions, as well as the Summit's closing session.

A key part of the schedule involves Madbouly attending a special session dedicated to African leaders participating in the Summit, which will be hosted by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. This underscores Egypt's crucial role as a key African player on the global stage.

On the sidelines of the G20 Summit 2025, Prime Minister Madbouly is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with several high-level African officials. These talks are expected to focus on boosting cooperation and addressing regional challenges.

Furthermore, the Egyptian head of government will meet with a number of prominent South African businessmen and investors to discuss opportunities for enhancing economic partnership and fostering mutual investment between the two countries.
