President Lee Jae Myung said that Egyptian youth are the real force capable of opening up new horizons in Egypt-Korea relations.
Speaking during his visit to Cairo University on Thursday, Lee praised the relationship between Egypt and the Republic of Korea, noting that despite their ancient histories, both nations achieved major progress in a relatively short time.
He highlighted the growth of comprehensive partnership between both countries through expanded trade, investment, and cultural exchange, as well as mutual visits, which together built a solid foundation for cooperation.
Lee expressed his hope to further elevate Egypt–Korea relations, based on both countries’ long traditions of peace and civilization.
He said he was delighted to visit Cairo University, the first university he has visited worldwide since taking office, paising Egypt’s enduring cultural legacy.
He added that the Korean culture shares core values of respect, diversity, and inclusiveness.
Lee concluded that the 8,000-kilometer distance between the two nations has not prevented them from sharing a “common destiny” and a relationship built on mutual values and ongoing achievements.
