CAIRO – 20 November 2025: Voting for Egyptians abroad in the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections will begin at 10 PM Cairo time on Thursday.

 

The first polling station to open will be at the Egyptian Embassy in New Zealand, due to the 11-hour time difference. The last polling station to close will be in California, USA.

 

In the second phase of the election, 1,316 individual candidates and one list are competing for the House seats in 13 governorates across Cairo and the Delta. The voting will take place in 73 electoral constituencies.

 

The electoral silence period for the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections began on Thursday, November 20, at 12 noon.

 

The first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections inside the country was held last Monday and Tuesday 10 and 11 November in 14 governorates.

 

Judge Ahmed Bendary, Executive Director of the National Elections Authority, announced that 35,279,922 voters were eligible to vote in the first phase of the elections.

 

According to the announced timetable, voting in the second phase of the 2025 parliamentary election will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 21–22 for expats and on Monday and Tuesday November 24–25 for citizens inside the country in the remaining 13 governorates.

 

This phase covers Cairo, Qalyubia, Dakahliya, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai

 

Results for this phase are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, December 2.

If runoffs are needed, Egyptians abroad will vote on December 1–2 for the first phase and on December 15–16 for the second.

 

Inside Egypt, the runoff voting will take place on December 3–4 for the first phase and on December 17–18 for the second.
