CAIRO – 20 November 2025: A dense fog shrouded highways and rural roads across Egypt on Thursday, driving the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) to urge drivers to exercise extreme caution.
This warning coincides with the gradual rise in temperatures across most of the country, EMA added.
The Authority explained that roads and agricultural areas are most affected by the fog, adding that the drivers should be more cautious, adhere to traffic regulations, reduce speed, and use fog lights to ensure safety.
Warm weather will continue during the daytime hours, as a result of the gradual and continuous rise in temperatures across most governorates.
The forecast indicates that the maximum temperature in Greater Cairo today will reach 29 degrees Celsius, urging citizens to be aware of the significant temperature difference between daytime and nighttime.
The authority, on Thursday, announced details of the expected weather conditions from Friday, November 21 to Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as the gradual rise in temperatures will continue across most areas until the end of the week, followed by a noticeable decrease at the beginning of next week.
