CAIRO – 17 November 2025: The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, expressed profound sorrow over the tragic car-tanker collision that occurred this morning near the holy city of Al-Madina Al-Munawara, resulting in the deaths of Indian pilgrims.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.
According to the Hyderabad City Police, the accident claimed the lives of 46 Indian pilgrims, leaving only one survivor.
