BETHLEHEM – 28 July 2017: A Palestinian young man was killed when Israeli occupation forces opened fire at him in Gush Etzion settlement, south of Bethlehem city, alleging he attempted to carry out a stabbing attack, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Friday.

The Israeli occupation troops have also barred medics of the Palestinian Red Crescent from providing the first aid to the Palestinian young man and carrying him to hospital, the Health Ministry added.

Meanwhile, a photojournalist of the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency (WAFA) was injured by Israeli fire while he was covering a peaceful march near Huwwara checkpoint, south of Nablus governorate.

The WAFA renewed its condemnation of the recent Israeli escalation, calling on international organizations and human rights groups to take an action against Israeli violations against journalists working in Palestine.
