CAIRO- 7 November 2025: Jordan’s Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Saeb Khraisat, reaffirmed the deep-rooted relations between Egypt and Jordan, describing them as strong and well-established at all levels, under the leadership and guidance of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and King Abdullah II.

Dr. Khraisat emphasized that Egyptian-Jordanian relations serve as a model of Arab cooperation and continue to develop across various fields, particularly in the agricultural sector — one of the most vital pillars of food security in the region.

In an interview with Egypt’s state-owned news agency MENA in Amman, following the conclusion of the eighth session of the Joint Egyptian-Jordanian Agricultural Technical Committee, the minister explained that the meetings discussed the establishment of Jordanian private-sector companies in Egypt to produce seeds and pesticides. These projects, he noted, represent joint Egyptian-Jordanian investments supported and facilitated by the two countries’ ministries of agriculture.

He added that these companies are expected to begin operations soon, generating positive outcomes for both nations by enhancing agricultural production, strengthening food security, and creating new job opportunities. This step, he said, translates the two sides’ shared commitment to deepening agricultural and economic partnerships and achieving greater integration within agricultural supply chains.
