CAIRO – 29 October 2025: French Ambassador to Cairo, Eric Chevalier, visited Al-Arish General Hospital on Wednesday, accompanied by the Governor of North Sinai.

“I have visited Al-Arish General Hospital four times, including a visit with the French President and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Each time I visit, I am astonished by the dedication and tremendous effort of the medical teams treating the wounded from Gaza,” Ambassador Chevallier said.

He continued, “When the French President delivered his recent address to the United Nations General Assembly, during which the State of Palestine was recognized, he mentioned his visit to Al-Arish and Al-Arish Hospital, as he had met with wounded Palestinians receiving treatment there.”

The French Ambassador to Cairo emphasized, “We are making every effort to achieve peace as quickly as possible. We know this is a difficult task, and we sincerely hope that children will experience a safe and secure childhood in Gaza.”

During her conversation with the ambassador, a woman from Gaza explained that “the medical teams at the hospital provide all the necessary psychological and medical support.”

She continued, “They alleviate our pain. We want to feel safe and secure in our country, and this is our right, just like any other people.”

One of the children from Gaza at the hospital also assured him that he would finish his treatment and return to Gaza.

The ambassador commended several female volunteers for their service to the injured, emphasizing that volunteering is crucial in the current circumstances, as it is just as important as the work of the medical and treatment teams.
