CAIRO - 28 October 2025: Egyptian technical teams continued their operations inside the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, expanding their search for the bodies of deceased Israeli prisoners to four new areas: Nuseirat, Shuja'iyya, Hamad City, and Rafah, according to Palestinian media sources.

Heavy Egyptian equipment and specialized crews have entered the Strip to assist in the recovery efforts, following coordination between Egyptian and Israeli authorities.

Israeli media confirmed that the operation was approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Egyptian heavy equipment has begun entering the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, civil defense teams in the Northern Governorate reburied 50 bodies from Beit Lahia Cemetery, which had been bulldozed earlier by Israeli military vehicles.

Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported that the move to allow Egyptian teams to help comes in response to U.S. pressure to facilitate the recovery of remains, underscoring the humanitarian and diplomatic dimensions of the ongoing coordination effort.
