RAMALLAH - 28 July 2017: The Israeli authorities beefed up security measures outside Al Aqsa Mosque, as military reinforcements were deployed and barriers were installed to ban Palestinian worshipers from reaching the mosque.

Local sources told MENA earlier in the day that only women, children and the elderly were allowed to enter Al Aqsa Mosque and perform Friday prayers, since the Israeli forces prevented those under the age of 50 from getting inside.

According to the sources, only three gates of the mosque were opened before the worshipers.
