CAIRO – 21 October 2025: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated on Tuesday Ms. Sanae Takaichi on her election as Prime Minister of Japan, becoming the first woman to hold this esteemed office in the country’s history.
“I extend my sincere congratulations to Ms. Sanae Takaichi on her election as Prime Minister of Japan, becoming the first woman to hold this esteemed office in the country’s history.” Sisi wrote.
President Sisi reaffirmed his keenness to work closely with the newly elected Prime Minister to “invigorate and further develop the strategic partnership between Egypt and Japan, enhance areas of cooperation across various fields.”
The Egyptian President also stressed the importance of continuing “constructive coordination on regional and international issues, in a manner that contributes to achieving peace, stability, and prosperity for our two friendly peoples and for the international community at large.”
