CAIRO – 20 October 2025: The Egyptian Red Crescent has launched the 54th “Zad Al-Ezz… From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, delivering hundreds of trucks loaded with urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The convoy includes more than 9,000 tons of essential relief supplies, continuing Egypt’s leading role as the national coordination body for humanitarian aid to Gaza.

According to the Egyptian Red Crescent, the shipment comprises 4,000 tons of food parcels and flour, over 3,000 tons of vital medical and relief supplies, and around 2,300 tons of fuel to meet urgent needs across the besieged enclave. This effort reflects Egypt’s ongoing commitment to supporting Gaza’s civilians through food security and emergency assistance programs.

The “Zad Al-Ezz” convoy initiative, first launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, has been one of the largest humanitarian efforts to aid Gaza. Previous convoys have carried thousands of tons of food, flour, baby formula, medicines, medical equipment, personal care items, and fuel to sustain hospitals and vital facilities amid the ongoing crisis.

The Egyptian Red Crescent continues to play a critical role as the national coordination mechanism for aid delivery to Gaza. Since the beginning of the conflict, the organization has maintained a continuous presence on the border, ensuring the Rafah crossing remains open from the Egyptian side.

Through its 35,000 volunteers, the society has helped deliver more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid into Gaza, reaffirming Egypt’s central humanitarian role in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
