Widespread Praise from Arab and International Delegations: Major Success for Egypt’s Amateur Golf Open Under Exceptional Organization by the Egyptian Golf Federation

The Egyptian Golf Federation achieved remarkable success in organizing the 2025 Egypt International Amateur Golf Championship, hosted by Dreamland Golf Club with broad participation from 19 countries. The event drew widespread praise from all participating delegations for its professional organization and the world-class quality of the golf courses that met the highest international standards.

 

 

Under the leadership of Omar Hesham Talaat, the Egyptian Golf Federation delivered an exemplary edition of the historic championship, providing all the technical, administrative, and logistical resources needed to ensure success. The tournament once again demonstrated Egypt’s ability to host major sporting events that reflect the nation’s distinguished sporting stature.

 

Promising 14-year-old Qatari golfer Daniel Sokolov captured the championship title after a stunning performance, finishing nine under par with a total of 207 strokes, becoming the youngest player in the tournament’s 105-year history to win the prestigious title.

In the Seniors category, Egyptian golf veteran Amr Abou El-Alaa claimed the championship title after a strong performance, making history as the first-ever winner of the Seniors Cup in the tournament’s history.

 

For the first time, the event featured cash prizes for the top five finishers, underscoring the Egyptian Golf Federation’s commitment to developing the sport and encouraging amateur players.

 

The tournament concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony attended by players, guests, and international delegations, who all praised the outstanding organization and festive atmosphere.
