CAIRO – 13 October 2025: Israeli newspaper ‘Jerusalem post’ published on Monday an article titled ‘Egypt’s influence rises with hosting of peace summits.’ The article highlighted Egypt’s increasing influence in the region, especially with organizing the meetings in Sharm el Sheikh that led to the Gaza deal.

‘Egypt is also supposed to host US President Donald Trump on October 13 with representatives of over 20 countries. Egypt, Turkey, Qatar and others are already getting praise for their roles in ending the Gaza war.’ The article stated.

The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit is expected to be held on Monday afternoon under the joint chairmanship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump.

More than twenty leaders of various countries will be in attendance.

The summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen efforts to bring peace and stability to the Middle East, and open a new page of regional security and stability. This summit comes in light of U.S. President Donald Trump's vision to achieve peace in the region, and his tireless efforts to end conflicts around the world, according to an Egyptian presidential statement on Sunday.

The summit program includes a bilateral meeting between Sisi and Trump, and another meeting will include participating leaders and presidents.

There will be a group photo of the summit participants, and both President Sisi and President Trump will deliver speeches.

Bilateral meetings are scheduled to be held between leaders on the sidelines of the conference.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has also decided to award the Nile Collar to the US President Donald Trump.

The award comes in recognition of his distinguished contributions to supporting peace efforts, defusing conflicts, and most recently, his pivotal role in ending the war in Gaza.
