US delegation arrives in Sharm El Sheikh for Trump's Gaza peace plan talks

CAIRO – 8 October 2025: The American delegation, led by Steve Witkoff and including Jared Kushner, has arrived at the main conference hall in Sharm El Sheikh to attend the expanded meetings dedicated to the implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza.

The heads of other participating delegations have also arrived for the preparatory sessions, setting the stage for the launch of a general plenary session expected shortly, with broad participation from relevant regional and international parties, according to a correspondent for Al-Qahera News.

Bilateral and multilateral meetings are currently underway between the participating delegations. These intensive talks aim to discuss the full execution details of the plan and finalize the terms of the preliminary understandings that were reached during earlier negotiations.

The focus of the discussions includes crucial mechanisms, such as securing guarantees for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and ensuring the swift transition to the stabilization phase outlined in the American framework.
