CAIRO - 4 October 2025: Hamas announced Friday that it would release all Israeli captives, both the living and the remains of the deadm under the framework of US President Donald
Trump’s Gaza proposal.
In a Telegram post on Friday, Hamas also expressed its willingness to enter mediated talks without delay to work out the specifics.
Meanwhile, the movement reiterated their approval to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independent technocrats, based on Palestinian national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic backing.
Hamas affirmed their readiness to immediately enter, through mediators, into negotiations to discuss the details of the handover of captives.
As for other provisions in Trump’s proposal that relate to the future of Gaza and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, Hamas said these matters are linked to a collective national position, based on relevant international laws and resolutions.
Hamas said such efforts regarding the enclave's future will be addressed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework, in which the movement will be a responsible participant.
