CAIRO – 29 September 2025: The Foreign MinistersEgypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar welcome President Donald J Trump’s plan for Gaza ceasefire. They asserted their confidence in Trump’s ability to find a path to peace.
In a joint statement reeased on Monday evening, they emphasize the importance of the partnership with the United States in securing peace in the region. Along these lines, the ministers welcome the announcement by President Trump regarding his proposal to end the war, rebuild Gaza, prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people and advance a comprehensive peace, as well as his announcement that he will not allow the annexation of the West Bank.
The ministers affirm their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and the parties toward finalizing the agreement and ensuring its implementation, in a manner that ensures peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.
They reaffirm their joint commitment to work with the United States to end the war in Gaza through a comprehensive deal that ensures unrestricted delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza, no displacement of the Palestinians, the release of hostages, a security mechanism that guarantees the security of all sides, full Israeli withdrawal, rebuilds Gaza and creates a path for a just peace on the basis of the two state solution, under which Gaza is fully integrated with the West Bank in a Palestinian state in accordance with international law as key to achieving regional stability and security.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced details of a U.S.-proposed plan to end the Israeli war on the besieged Gaza Strip, giving the Hamas movement a 72-hour deadline to release all Israeli captives, contingent on Hamas’s acceptance of the plan.
In a joint Press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on the US 20-point plan for Gaza on Monday at the White House, President Trump said that several Arab and Muslim leaders, including those from Egypt, supported his plan for Gaza. He added that if Hamas rejected the proposal, Israeli Prime Minister will get the US full support to do what should be done.
Additionally, he said that Arab and Muslim countries will commit to demilitarizing Hamas and assisting in training local police forces in the Strip. The US President also announced that a board of peace will be established to form a transitional government of Palestinian people, without Hamas. He added that he will personally chair the Board of Peace, in collaboration with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
As for the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, U.S. President Trump said that Israeli forces will withdraw from Gaza in phases.
Egypt and Qatar delivered the US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza to Hamas, which confirmed that it is studying the proposal positively and objectively, an official told Al Qahera News.
