CAIRO – 29 September 2025: Egypt’s Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Abdel Majeed Saqr, met on Monday with Ahmed Moallem Faqi, Somali Minister of Defense, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance military cooperation between the armed forces of both countries and support security and stability efforts within the African continent.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized his appreciation of the strong relations with the State of Somalia and his keenness to strengthen cooperation in various military fields.
For his part, the Somali Minister of Defense praised Egypt's sincere efforts to achieve security and peace for all peoples of the African continent, noting the convergence of views on various issues and topics of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of Armed Forces commanders.
