French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spox says Paris recognition of Palestine state was inevitable

CAIRO – 26 September 2025: Spokesperson of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Friday that France's recognition of the State of Palestine was inevitable, regardless of Netanyahu's anger or reaction.

He added to al Qahera news channel that recognizing the Palestinian state is just the beginning, and that it ‘must be followed by a mechanism that strengthens its existence.’

He affirmed that diplomacy must prevail in the region. However, if Israel kept ignoring it, other ways could be possible.

The French spokesperson noted that the United States is Israel's greatest ally, and that’s why Tel Aviv feels safe and supported.

‘However, we must return to the political track to achieve the two-state solution,’ he added

He stressed France’s believe that genocide in Gaza and other acts against humanity must not go unpunished.

‘The withdrawal of delegations from the UN session immediately after Netanyahu's entry is a response to his violations in Gaza and the West Bank, as it also considered a victory for humanity and the Palestinian people,’ the spokesman said.

The French Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted, that there must be international resolutions to stop the genocide against the Palestinian people.

The spokesman said that many UN resolutions were not implemented due to the US veto, indicating that the time has come to change the US position.

He pointed out that demonstrations against Netanyahu are sweeping cities around the world, including Tel Aviv.

He also emphasized in his statements to al Qahera news channel that all countries of the world should put more pressure to the US President to stop the war on Gaza.
