CAIRO – 20 September 2025: Sources at Cairo International Airport confirmed that operations remain unaffected by the cyberattack that struck several European airports, disrupting numerous flights across the continent.

The sources stressed that no delays or disruptions have been recorded for incoming or outgoing flights at Cairo International Airport. They noted, however, that the most likely indirect impact could be delays in departures from affected European airports, which might result in some flights arriving during Cairo Airport’s peak operating hours.

To address such possibilities, Cairo International Airport has implemented a comprehensive emergency plan designed to respond immediately to any potential disruptions. Officials highlighted that all Egyptian airport staff are trained in advance scenarios to handle cyber-related incidents, with regular emergency drills conducted to ensure readiness.
