CAIRO – 14 September 2025: Egypt expressed strong condemnation of the heinous terrorist attack that targeted Pakistani soldiers in the northwestern region of Pakistan.

In a statement on Sunday, Egypt reaffirmed its firm rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, and expressed its full solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time.

Cairo extended its heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the government and people of Pakistan, as well as to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

At least 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed when their vehicle convoy came under fire in South Waziristan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday, Reuters reported.

The so-called “Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)” or the “Pakistani Taliban” group claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a separate incident in the Lower Dir area, also in northwestern Pakistan, seven soldiers and 10 militants were killed in a fire exchange after troops discovered a militant hideout, the army stated.
