President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi - file
CAIRO - 9 September 2025: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the relevant authorities to study the petition submitted by the National Council for Human Rights regarding a presidential pardon for a number of convicts.
The National Council for Human Rights had requested that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, within the framework of the constitutional powers granted to the President, consider issuing a presidential pardon for a group of convicts. This request was made in response to requests received from their families to grant them a new chance in life, to return to their families, and to live within their communities under normal conditions.
The list of names the Council requested to be included in the presidential pardon decision included:

* Alaa Ahmed Seif Al-Islam Abdel Fattah
* Karam Abdel Samee Ismail Al-Saadani
* Walaa Gamal Saad Mohamed
* Mohamed Awad Abdo Mohamed
* Mohamed Abdel Khaleq Abdel Aziz Abdel Latif
* Mansour Abdel Jaber Ali Abdel Razek
