CAIRO – 7 September 2025: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) sent the 31st Zad Al-Izza convoy carrying approximately 2,500 tons of food and medical aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.
The convoy carries much-need supplies, including 2,200 tons of flour, besides 200 tons of medical supplies, the Red Crescent said in a statement on Sunday.
The convoys of "Zad Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza" were launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, carrying thousands of tons of aid, including food, flour, baby formula, medical supplies, medications, personal care items, and tons of fuel.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border as a national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to Gaza since the beginning of the crisis.
The Rafah border crossing never fully closed on the Egyptian side, maintaining its readiness at all logistical centers to deliver humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of 35,000 volunteers.
