Damage left by Israeli bombardment of Gaza Strip - file
CAIRO - 6 September 2025: The Israeli occupation continues its 700th day of genocide, forced displacement, and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, amid shameful international complicity and silence.
On Saturday, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip enter the 700th day of the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation against the defenseless civilian population, targeting more than 2.4 million civilians, in an unprecedented crime in modern history.
This war has resulted in the near-total destruction of 90% of the infrastructure and initial losses exceeding $68 billion, with the Israeli occupation controlling more than 80% of the Gaza Strip through military force and forced displacement.
Palestinian government media office issued a statement detailing the number of killings, disappearances, damages committed by the Israeli occupation during 700 days of genocidal war on Gaza.
During this period, the Israeli occupation committed bloody massacres that resulted in the killing and disappearance of 73,731 people, including more than 20,000 children and 12,500 women.
The occupation forces also wiped out 2,700 families from the civil registry, and killed 1,670 medical personnel, 248 journalists, 139 civil defense personnel, and 173 municipal employees. More than 162,000 people were injured, including thousands of amputations, paralysis, and blindness.
The occupation forces are committing a systematic crime of forced displacement against our Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, by preventing them from returning to their homes and destroying their neighborhoods and vital facilities. This is a flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute, making it a war crime and a crime against humanity that warrants international prosecution.
The occupation also completely destroyed 38 hospitals, 833 mosques, and 163 educational institutions, severely damaging thousands of other institutions, and imposing a systematic starvation policy through a comprehensive blockade against the civilian population and preventing the entry of hundreds of thousands of food and aid trucks, causing a humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of more than 2.4 million people, including more than a million children who are on the brink of starvation.
We condemn in the strongest terms the continuation of this criminal war and hold the "Israeli" occupation and the countries supporting it, led by the United States of America, fully responsible for these crimes. We call on Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and the United Nations to take immediate, serious, and effective action to halt the aggression against our Palestinian people, end the blockade, ensure the return of the displaced, and hold the leaders of the occupation accountable before international courts as war criminals.
