CAIRO - 4 September 2025: Egypt is partnering with the Japanese company Sprix Ltd. to launch an AI-powered educational platform for first-year high school students, starting in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, met with officials from Sprix on Thursday to review the implementation steps of the new platform. According to a statement from the Ministry, this initiative is part of broader efforts to integrate modern technology and artificial intelligence into the educational system.
During the meeting, Minister Abdel Latif discussed key details of the platform, including account setup for students and teachers, password protocols, lesson delivery methods, and the activation of the platform on interactive classroom screens in secondary schools.
On August 20, 2025, the Ministry of Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sprix to collaborate on the development of a mathematics curriculum tailored for primary and secondary school students.
Additionally, the Ministry's spokesperson, Shadi Zalta, announced on August 28 that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be introduced as a formal subject for first-year high school students starting next semester.
