CAIRO – 3 September 2025: The Houthis of Yemen confirmed that they launched two ballistic missiles on Jaffa, part of Israel’s Tel Aviv, on Wednesday, declaring the operation a success.
The operation targeted “sensitive targets” in the city, utilizing Palestine 2, a multi-tipped fragmentation missile used for the second time, and Zulfiqar missile, said the Houthis’ spokesman Yahya Saree.
“The operation successfully achieved its objectives,” said Saree, noting that it “caused millions of usurping Zionists to rush to shelters, suspending airport operations.”
The Israeli army stated that alerts were activated in several areas across the Israeli territory, noting that one missile was intercepted.
Saree said the operation comes in solidarity with the Palestinian people suffering from the crimes of genocide and starvation in Gaza as well as in response to the recent Israeli attacks on Yemen.
Last week, an Israeli strike on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, killed the prime minister and several other ministers of the Houthi government.
