Health Ministry: '100 Days of Healthy Lives' provides 73.154M free services in 49 days

CAIRO - 3 September 2025: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that 73,154,102 free medical services have been provided over the course of 49 days since the launch of the third edition of the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" Campaign, which began on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. This campaign aims to improve healthcare services provided to citizens across the country.
 
The campaign is being implemented in accordance with the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, who emphasized the importance of strengthening national health initiatives and their role in enhancing the efficiency of the health system and achieving universal health coverage.
 
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the campaign provided 1,468,779 free medical services on Monday. He noted that the campaign's services are being provided with the participation of 12 different sectors, with each sector playing a complementary role in implementing the campaign and achieving its health and development goals. Based on this cooperation, the campaign has provided approximately 339,570 services through the primary care sector.
 
Abdel Ghaffar stated that the campaign provided 447,360 services through the therapeutic care sector, in addition to 123,202 services provided under the presidential public health initiatives. The preventive medicine sector also provided 50,219 services.
 
He pointed out that the campaign provided 78,249 services through units affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, while the "Your Health is Your Happiness" mental health support initiative provided 9,468 services. The campaign also provided 213,757 services through the hospitals of the General Authority for Health Insurance.
 
He added that the Ambulance Authority provided 5,270 ambulance services, while 98,974 services were provided through the hospitals of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers. He also performed 3,332 surgeries on waiting lists, while the hospitals of the Therapeutic Corporation provided 15,151 services.
 
He added that the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" Campaign provided health awareness and education services to 84,227 citizens, through community outreach teams deployed in public areas, clubs, and malls across various governorates, with the aim of raising health awareness and guiding citizens to benefit from the services provided by the campaign, in addition to organizing educational seminars and various awareness-raising activities.
