CAIRO - 26 August 2025: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, informed the Saudi Cabinet of the contents of a message he received from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The message focused on the close ties between the two countries and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields.

During Tuesday’s session chaired by King Salman, the Cabinet was also briefed on the outcomes of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman’s recent meeting with President El-Sisi during the latter’s official visit to the Kingdom.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Cabinet reviewed the latest regional and international developments. Saudi Arabia reiterated its call on the international community, particularly the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, to take urgent action to end the famine in Gaza and stop what it described as genocide and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

Last Thursday, President El-Sisi met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Saudi city of Neom for wide-ranging talks, followed by a bilateral meeting between the two leaders.
