CAIRO – 23 August 2025: From in front of the Egyptian Embassy in The Hague, the seat of the Netherlands’ government, numerous members of the Egyptian community reaffirm their unwavering support for their homeland and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Members from the Egyptian community in The Hague held a peaceful rally in front of the embassy, continuing through Sunday, under scheduled hours approved by Dutch police authorities.

Meanwhile, numerous Egyptians in Milan have reaffirmed support for Egypt’s leadership and regional stance.

Members of the Egyptian community in Milan have announced their full support for Egypt’s leadership and decisions on key regional and international issues.

They also declared their participation in the "Watanak Amanah" (Your Nation Is Your Responsibility) initiative.

A peaceful rally was held to express solidarity with Egypt and to reject any attempts to undermine the country’s stability.

The community voiced frustration over previous efforts by individuals linked to “anti-Egypt groups” who tried to provoke unrest or disrupt Egyptian diplomatic missions in Europe.

They stated that such provocations do not represent the Egyptian diaspora, but rather serve known external agendas.

The citizens added that they consider the Egyptian embassy and consulate their home and a symbol of national sovereignty, stating that any attack on them constitutes an attack on Egypt itself.

Last week, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with his Dutch counterpart, Caspar Veldkamp, to express his deep dismay over a recent attack on the Egyptian embassy building.

Veldkamp resigned on Friday after a Cabinet meeting failed to agree on sanctions against Israel.

Abdelatty stressed the importance of providing security protection for the Egyptian diplomatic mission in the Netherlands, noting the Dutch responsibility under international law to protect it from any violations.
