CAIRO - 18 August 2025: Governor of Giza Adel El-Naggar visited the “Munib Superman” in hospital Sunday to express his respect to his rescuing of a child two weeks ago.

Shehab Abdel Aziz, a security guard, saw Ritaj Hany hanging from a fire-engulfed balcony in the eleventh floor in Munib district in Giza. He held a fabric car cover with other men to catch the girl in case she falls.

After her arms could no longer support her, Ritaj fell, but her body hit a clothesline. As her body changed her trajectory, Shehab also moved and caught her in his arms.

The girl, in preparatory 3, had a broken hand, a pelvic fracture, a blood clot in the abdomen, and a lung injury.

Meanwhile, Shehab, a father of three, suffered a broken knee and a broken jaw.

The Giza Governor told Shehab he is “a role model of sacrifice and altruism.” He said Giza Governorate will provide “full support for him and his family.”

Shehab's actions “embody the highest values of chivalry and humanity that characterize the Egyptian people,” Governor Naggar added.

The governor directed the director of the Health Affairs Directorate and the hospital director to provide all necessary healthcare until Shehab fully recovers.
