CAIRO – 27 July 2017: Israeli forces have stormed the vicinity of al-Aqsa mosque where clashes erupted between them and Muslim Palestinian worshippers in the old city of Jerusalem, leaving more 96 Palestinians injured on Thursday.

The clashes erupted at the old city gates, which were opened for the prayers two weeks after being closed.

18:41 - Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said Thursday that President Abd Al Fatah al-Sisi interfered ‘effectively’ to end the latest escalations against Al Aqsa mosque, which stopped Israel's violence actions.

18:42 - During his speech at the emergency meeting of the Arab League Council of Arab foreign ministers, al-Maliki thanked Sisi and the Egyptian government for their efforts on the Palestinian issue.

17:04 - Gomaa: Israeli forces were provoked by seeing the Palestinians celebrating entering their mosque after nearly two weeks of closure, so they clashed with them ‘intentionally.’

17:54 - Fatah Central Committee member Azzam al-Ahmad said that Arab countries ‘forced’ Israel to withdraw from Al Aqsa and to cancel all its security procedures and decisions.” He added that they have a history full of betrayal; however we should watch their attempts carefully.

16:51 – FM Sameh Shoukry said during his speech in the Urgent Arab league meeting that The latest violations by occupation Israeli Forces against Al Aqsa mosque caused a ‘rage-wave‘ inside all Arab cities and countries, warning from any further escalations of the crises.

16:50 - Shoukry: Only Israel should bear the consequences of the provoking procedures against the mosque and Palestinians.

16:48 - Shoukry: Egypt warned against the seriousness of the provoking Israeli procedures, called on both Palestinian and Israeli parties to put an end to the escalating situation.
