3rd edition of ‘100 Days of Health’ campaign provides 36,268,788 medical services in 23 days

CAIRO – 8 August 2025: Egypt’s Ministry of Health announced that 36,268,788 free medical services have been provided over the past 23 days since the launch of the 3rd edition of the ‘100 Days of Health’ campaign.

The 3rd edition began on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, aiming to improve healthcare services provided to citizens across the country.

 

The campaign comes in implementation of the directives of Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, who emphasized the importance of strengthening national health initiatives and their role in enhancing the efficiency of the health system and achieving universal health coverage.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, explained that the campaign provided 1,792,920 free medical services on Wednesday.

He noted that the campaign is providing its services with the participation of 12 different sectors, with each sector playing a complementary role in implementing the campaign and achieving its health and development goals.

 

Abdel Ghaffar stated that the ‘100 Days of Health’ campaign provided 430,799 services through the therapeutic care sector, in addition to 95,034 services provided under the presidential public health initiatives. The preventive medicine sector also provided 53,667 services.

Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the campaign provided 40,394 services through units affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, while the ‘Your Health is Happiness’ mental health support initiative provided 9,532 services. The campaign also provided 213,993 services through hospitals of the General Authority for Health Insurance.

Abdel Ghaffar added that the Ambulance Authority provided 5,648 emergency services, while 102,993 services were provided through the hospitals of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers.

Specialized medical councils issued 15,082 treatment decisions at the state's expense, in addition to performing 1,993 operations on waiting lists. Meanwhile, the Therapeutic Corporation's hospitals provided 14,142 services.
