CAIRO – 23 July 2025: 1,056 inmates were released on the occasion of the July 23 Revolution anniversary in line with a presidential decree in this regard, the Interior Ministry said.
Specialized committees from the ministry's Community Protection Sector examined the inmates' files to determine their eligibility for release.
The move reflects the Interior Ministry's commitment to provide comprehensive care to inmates and implement the measures necessary to reintegrate rehabilitated inmates into society.
It also comes as part of the ministry's efforts to adopt modern penal policy approach
