CAIRO – 21 July 2025: The Egyptian Railway Authority operated on Monday, a special train to facilitate the voluntary return of Sudanese nationals and their families to their country.
The Ministry of Transport confirmed that this comes within the framework of joint cooperation and close fraternal relations between Egypt and Sudan, and within the framework of the Egyptian Railway Authority's implementation of all measures that contribute to facilitating the voluntary return of Sudanese to their country.

Sudanese passengers arrived in the early hours of Monday morning at Cairo Station to board the special train heading to Aswan.
The train departed Cairo Station at 11:00 AM and arrived in Aswan at 11:00 PM, according to the schedule.
This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and societal role played by the Egyptian state, represented by the Ministry of Transport and the Egyptian National Railways Authority.
Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, assigned the Chairman and leaders of the Egyptian Railway Authority to provide all necessary services for the comfort of Sudanese nationals until their safe arrival at the High Dam Port.

The Egyptian National Railways Authority wished our Sudanese brothers a safe journey and a dignified return to their homeland.
