CAIRO - 19 July 2025: The Egyptian Minister of Higher Education participated in the signing of cooperation agreements between 12 Egyptian universities and the University of Louisville to establish a joint track for Master of Engineering Science programs in all engineering disciplines at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered a recorded speech broadcast via video conference during his participation in the signing of cooperation agreements between 12 Egyptian universities and the University of Louisville.
The agreements aim to establish a joint track for obtaining a Master of Engineering Science degree in engineering specializations.
The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Catherine Carderelli, Interim Provost of the University of Louisville, Professor Emmanuel Collins, Dean of the College of Engineering, representatives of the university administration and the College of Engineering, and presidents of the participating Egyptian universities.
The signing of cooperation agreements between Alexandria University, Assiut University, Mansoura University, Menoufia University, Benha University, El Alamein International University, New Mansoura University, Alexandria Private University, Assiut Private University, Mansoura Private University, Menoufia Private University, and Benha Private University took place with the University of Louisville in the United States.
In his speech, Dr. Ayman Ashour emphasized that these partnerships represent a knowledge bridge between Egyptian and American educational institutions and reflect a commitment to promoting academic excellence and innovation and providing high-quality educational opportunities to enable Egyptian students to pursue global academic and professional careers.
The Minister indicated that the Ministry supports and encourages the establishment of partnerships and cooperation agreements between Egyptian universities and their international counterparts in various academic and research fields.
He also explained that the internationalization of education is one of the important issues emphasized by the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and is in line with the implementation of the principle of international reference, which is one of the most important principles of the strategy.
Dr. Ayman Ashour highlighted the Ministry and universities' interest in benefiting from the expertise of friendly countries in the field of higher education.
